Glossary of Terms

  • Boolean: There are 4 main boolean operators: AND, NOT, OR, and XOR.
  • Date: Day, Month, Year
  • Decimal: A number represented by the decimal digits 0 to 9 and a decimal point
  • Integer: any of the natural numbers (positive or negative) or zero; "an integer is a number that is not a fraction" (example: -4,  345)
  • List: give or make a list of
  • Long:
  • Boolean or Null: It defines if an Id number will be generated by the system or manually enter by the user.
    If it value is TRUE the system will automatically assign a next number as the Id of the task.
    If it is FALSE it will allow an alphanumeric manual entry in the task Id field.
  • Date or Null: Day, Month, Year or else blank.
  • Decimal or Null:  A number represented by the decimal digits 0 to 9 and a decimal point or else blank.
  • List or Null: give or make a list of or else blank.
  • Long or Null: It defines maximum size for a particular Id field
  • String or Null: If there is a value in this parameter the system will use it as a default functional class  when synchronizing users The system displays a drop down list with all functional classes available.
  • String: a string is a contiguous sequence of symbols or values; a series of alphanumeric characters
  • Code: Unique identification code of the user
  • Active: active Status - if checked, User is available
  • Is Finalized: if checked, the Chart of Accounts is finalized and cannot be modified unless unchecked
  • Language: language used
  • Abbreviation: a shortened or contracted form of a word or phrase, used to represent the whole
  • Description: a statement or an account used to describe the particular topic
  • Source CoA: represents the current information related to a specific COA
  • Clone Segments: duplicates the Segments from the Source COA information
  • Clone Concepts: duplicates the Concepts from the Source COA information
  • Clone Elements: duplicates the Elements from the Source COA information
  • Clone Groups: duplicates the Groups from the Source COA information
  • Clone OffsetCodes: duplicates the OffsetCodes from the Source COA information
  • Lookup: an icon that allows users to search for particular information when prompted  
  • Remove: an icon that enables uses to remove information .
  • Select All: an icon that enables users to select all   information
  • Deselect All: an icon that enables the user to deselect all information
